Calingaert: Put Internet Freedom Principles Into Practice

Freedom House Vice President for Policy, Daniel Calingaert, called on democratic governments to take concrete steps to defend the rights of internet users at a May 10 event with the Chairs of the U.S. Senate and House Global Internet Freedom Caucuses. At the event, Representative Chris Smith, chair of the House’s Internet Freedom Caucus, thanked Freedom House for supporting the Global Online Freedom Act, which would curb sales of technology used to facilitate human rights violations.
